Living Prayer – postscript

After reflecting on our prayerful response to the situation in Iraq in my last blog I noticed this page on the Church of England website, which I found really helpful. You can find it here

Pray – act – give seems to me to be such a positive way forward. The Solidarity candles I spoke of sold out on their first day on sale. We are hoping for fresh supplies this week – but we also need you old candles. If you can bring any to Southwark Cathedral they will be recycled to produce the Nasrani Solidarity Candle. Bring them at any time when we are open. They will be well used to support Canon Andrew White’s work.

Pray - Act - Give

Pray – Act – Give

I also heard today that the appeal that we made for financial support of the work of the only Christian hospital in Gaza raised £840. This will be added to more than £36k that McCabe’s has raised from pilgrims and friends. If you still would like to give then you can do that via this link.

And pray, act and give.

Lord, hear us as we pray;
Lord, direct us as we act;
Lord, inspire us as we give.
Amen.
